01What is PlusYar?
PlusYar is a social discovery app for adults. It helps you find nearby events, meet people through shared interests, join communities and create activities of your own.
02Who is PlusYar for?
PlusYar is for adults aged 18 and over who want to discover local experiences, meet beyond their current social circle, or find people who enjoy the same things.
03Which platforms does PlusYar support?
PlusYar is available on iOS through the Apple App Store and on Android through Google Play.
04Is there a membership fee?
There is no membership fee to create or maintain a PlusYar account. Individual events may still have their own costs, such as admission tickets, food, equipment or venue fees. Those costs are separate from PlusYar.
05How do I find an event nearby?
Use search or the discovery map, then choose interest filters such as football, hiking, cinema, live music or coffee. Open an event to review its location, time, cost, organizer, attendees and access rules.
06How do I create an event?
Choose the create action in the app, select an event category, then add the name, date, time, location, description and cost. You can also set visibility, attendance limits and whether people can join directly or need approval.
07What if I can no longer attend?
Leave the event in the app and message the organizer as soon as possible. PlusYar is not responsible for refunding tickets or other event-related costs, so contact the relevant organizer or ticket provider about refunds.
08Why is my request still waiting for approval?
Approval-required events are reviewed by their organizers, not automatically by PlusYar. You can check the request status in your activity area. If the event is approaching, send the organizer a polite message in the app.
09What is a PlusYar community?
A community is an ongoing space for people connected by an interest, location or shared activity. Members can stay in touch, coordinate events, respond to polls and share updates according to the community permissions.
10Can a community be private?
Yes. Organizers can set a community to public or private and can use open membership or approval-required requests. Organizers can also control which member roles may create events, upload photos or create polls.
11How do I leave a community?
Open the community, use its options menu and choose Leave. You will stop receiving community updates, but some content you previously shared may remain visible according to the community settings and PlusYar policies.
12How do I change my profile information?
Open your profile, choose Edit, then update the available details and save your changes. Some account information may require an additional verification step.
13How do I manage notifications?
Open your PlusYar settings to adjust the notifications available in the app. You can also change PlusYar notification permission in your iOS or Android device settings.
14How do I delete my account?
Use the account deletion option in your PlusYar account settings or follow the account deletion guidance on our website. Some information may be retained where required for fraud prevention, investigations, enforcement or legal compliance.
15How can I request access to or correction of my data?
Email support@plusyar.com with the request and the email address connected to your account. We may need to verify your identity before we can provide or change account data.
16How do I report abuse or harassment?
Email support@plusyar.com with the account name, event or community involved, a clear description and any relevant screenshots. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
17Can I control who joins my event or community?
Yes. Depending on the feature, you can use public or private visibility, open access or approval-required requests, along with participant limits and organizer permissions.
18Does PlusYar allow users under 18?
No. PlusYar is only for adults aged 18 or older, or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction if higher. Accounts reasonably suspected to belong to someone under 18 may be suspended or terminated.
